The Mass of the Holy Spirit

at St. Peter the Apostle School

In the realm of education, there is a timeless tradition that binds administrators, teachers, non-teaching personnel, and students in an atmosphere of reverence and inspiration: the Mass of the Holy Spirit. Last July 28, St. Peter the Apostle School had its Mass of the Holy Spirit to guide the entire SPAS community for this school year 2023-2024. The Mass was held at the SPAS Gymnasium and was presided by our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Jomar Burgos, LRMS. Concelebrants were our School Director, Rev. Fr. Emilio Ascaño, LRMS and Parochial Vicar, Rev. Fr. Roberto Fabillo, LRMS.
During the homily by Fr. Jomar, he addressed the call for us Peterians to be wise in our words and actions, to be courageous despite the adversities that we may face in doing good, and lastly, called us to forgive our aggressors, just as Jesus has taught us. Fr. Jomar also called us to be enthusiastic in our work and study, for an enthusiastic person has God inside him.
Moreover, the school building and the whole SPAS community were blessed at the end of the celebration.
In conclusion, the Mass of the Holy Spirit was solemn - staying true to its purpose to unite the different individuals of the school, share values, and invoke the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit to be inspired to pursue knowledge, embrace empathy, and strive to make a positive impact on the world around them.
