SPAS Welcomes Chinese New Year 2026

On February 13, 2026, St. Peter the Apostle School joyfully celebrated Chinese New Year, welcoming the Year of the Horse with vibrant and meaningful activities that highlighted and promoted Chinese-Filipino heritage.

The celebration began with a dynamic Lion Dance performance by selected Grade 7 and Grade 10 students. Later in the program, they also showcased their skills in Wushu and Chinese Drums. Their well-coordinated movements energized the audience and highlighted the discipline, teamwork, and enduring spirit of traditional Chinese arts.

Following these exciting performances, students from Grades 1 to 7 and Grade 11 took the stage to perform a variety of traditional and modern Chinese songs and dances. Dressed in colorful Chinese attire, they confidently showcased their talents while celebrating the richness and beauty of Chinese culture.

Meanwhile, Grades 8 to 10 participated in a special Chinese cooking activity in collaboration with the TLE Area, preparing well-loved Chinese dishes. Adding to the festivities, Grade 12 students sold Chinese food and drinks, creating a vibrant and engaging experience for the entire school community.

Beyond welcoming the New Year, the celebration fostered cultural identity, strengthened unity, and inspired a deeper appreciation for the community’s rich Chinese heritage.

2026年2月13日，培德中學歡慶中國春節，以豐富多彩、意義非凡的活動迎接馬年的到來，這些活動充分展現並弘揚了菲律賓華人文化。

慶祝活動以七年級和十年級學生帶來的精彩舞獅表演拉開序幕。隨後，他們也展現了中國功夫和中国鼓乐的精湛技藝。他們協調流暢的動作感染了所有觀眾，展現了中國傳統藝術的嚴謹紀律、團隊合作精神和不屈不撓的精神。

在這些精彩的表演之後，一至七年級和十一年級的學生登台獻藝，表演了各種傳統和現代中國歌舞。他們身著色彩繽紛的中國傳統服飾，自信地展現才藝，展現了中國文化的豐富多彩和美麗風采。

同時，八至十年級的學生與技術與生活技能（TLE）部門合作，參與了一項特別的中國烹飪活動，親手製作了深受喜愛的中國菜餚。為了增添節慶氣氛，12年級的學生們販售中國傳統美食和飲品，為全校師生營造了熱鬧非凡的氛圍。

這場春節慶典超越了節慶本身，它築牢了我們的文化根基，強化了校園共同體的凝聚力，更激發起大家對中華優秀傳統文化的自豪與認同。
