SPAS Community Holds its Fire Drill

The whole Peterian Community participated in the fire drill led by our Physical Plant Coordinator, Mrs. Virginia Santos together with the Paco Fire Station officers headed by SPO4 Moises Reyes last September 12, 2023. This fire drill was actively participated by students from Grades 1 to 12 and all SPAS employees.
The day started with a seminar on fire prevention presented by the Paco Fire Station officers where the students learned valuable information on how destructive fire can be. They were also taught on how to respond when fire happens in order to save lives and properties.
Afterward, the fire drill began as the fire alarm rang. All students, administrators, teachers, and non-teaching personnel hurriedly went to the parking lot and checked if everyone had safely arrived at the evacuation area through a head count. The fire station officers were also there to observe how the institution conducted the fire drill. When everyone was marked safe upon checking, students, teachers, and other employees returned to their rooms and offices.
For the final activity, the Paco Fire Station officers also trained selected high school students, teachers, and non-teaching personnel on how to use a fire extinguisher during an emergency. Evaluation of the activity followed. Knowledge on fire safety is crucial especially in an institution like St. Peter the Apostle School. It has been a day full of learning for all the members of the Peterian community.
