Parenting in the Digital Age: Guide, Connect, Protect
In a world where technology continues to shape how children learn, communicate, and explore, guiding them toward safe and responsible digital habits has never been more important.
On October 27, 2026, St. Peter the Apostle School, in collaboration with SPASPA (St. Peter the Apostle School Parents’ Auxiliary), successfully conducted a meaningful and insightful parenting talk. The event brought together parents and guardians in a shared commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and protective environment for children in today's increasingly digital world.
Throughout the session, participants gained valuable insights into the opportunities and potential risks children encounter online, including the 4Cs of Online Risks: Content, Contact, Conduct, and Contract.
They also explored practical parenting strategies through the Kumusta, Kasama, Kasundo, and Kaagapay approach, emphasizing the importance of open communication, understanding, and continuous parental guidance. The discussion further highlighted protective behaviors, appropriate boundaries, technology-based safety tools, and practical measures to strengthen children's online safety.
The activity reinforced the vital partnership between home and school in helping children navigate the digital world with confidence, responsibility, and care. Together, we are raising digitally responsible, informed, and protected children.
