“Long live Our Lady!”

This month of October, St. Peter the Apostle School celebrated the month of the Holy Rosary by making it a special time to devote energies for the deepening of spiritual connections. Thus, the Center for Christian Formation dedicated a special time for reflection, prayers, and community building. After a month of zealously praying the Holy Rosary, the school held a culminating activity on October 26, 2023, at 1:00 pm which served as the pinnacle of this spiritual journey. The Christian Living Education and Araling Panlipunan subject areas collaborated so as to make a culminating activity that includes the celebration of the month of the Holy Rosary, United Nations, mission, and Halloween. The entire school community, including administrators, teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as students, gathered for the celebration.
The activity was a beautiful and heartwarming event that showcased the deep faith and devotion of the school community. The program began with the entrance of the chosen students from Grades 1 to 7, dressed up like their assigned saints, as they represented the beads of the Rosary. It was followed by a procession in a prayerful atmosphere led by the students of the senior high school department. The highlight was the solemn entrance of the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary after which a collective recitation of the Holy Rosary was done. The entire school community prayed for different intentions such as peace and unity in the world. The culminating event for the Holy Rosary month was more than just a religious occasion; it served as a testament to the unity, spirituality, and commitment that the school fosters in its students. It reminded them that they are children of God, especially as all Hallows eve approaches, emphasizing their connection with goodness rather than the evil side. At the conclusion of the event, the entire SPAS community united in chanting "Viva la Virgen!" The resounding chant echoed within the school's walls and undoubtedly within the hearts of all those in attendance. It undeniably showcased the community's deep devotion and affection for Mary.
