Igniting the Minds through Math, Science, and ICT
The Peterian community celebrated Science, Math, and ICT Month on January 29–30, 2026, with the theme “Igniting the Minds through Math, Science, and ICT.” The event was organized by the Science, Math, and ICT areas with the support of other faculty and administrators. The two-day event aimed to promote critical thinking, creativity, and appreciation for these essential disciplines through engaging and student-centered activities.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the SCIMATHICT Olympiad. On the first day, pupils from Grades 1 to 3 gathered at the Hall of Hope to compete, guided by their teachers and assisted by senior high school students from Grades 11 and 12. On the second day, students from Grades 4 to 10 showcased their knowledge and skills as they took on more challenging rounds of the competition.
The following students emerged as winners in the SCIMATHICT Olympiad:
Grade 1 - Kian Lewis Ang
Grade 2 - Shaun Rafael Yu
Grade 3 - Ashton Samuel Pua
Grade 4 - Raphael Jared Aguilar
Grade 5 - Marcus Cullen Wong
Grade 6 - Kent Wang
Grade 7 - Caylee Maxine Chan
Grade 8 - Johann Vincent Javier
Grade 9 - Marquis Jaden Chuang
Grade 10 - Bridgette Icy Kaw
Also, on the second day of the celebration, Grades 1 to 5 students participated in a Robotics Workshop held at the school gymnasium. The session was facilitated by TechnoKids, with the assistance of the Senior High School Robotics club members. The students had the opportunity to explore the Scout Robot and engage in hands-on activities that introduced them to basic programming and robotics concepts. This allowed the young learners to explore technology in a fun and meaningful way.
More than a competition, the event inspired students to embrace learning with confidence and curiosity. The Olympiad winners from Grades 1 to 10 reflected excellence and dedication, while all participants gained valuable experiences in collaboration, perseverance, and innovation. The celebration truly ignited young minds and strengthened the school’s commitment to nurturing future-ready learners through Math, Science, and ICT.
