Welcome to St. Peter the Apostle School!
The First Holy Communion is a significant milestone for both Catholic children and their parents, embodying a deeper understanding of faith and a closer relationship with God.
Throughout the school year, the Grade 3 students were guided by their CLEd teachers in preparing to receive the Body of Christ for the first time. Their preparation included various activities such as recollections, Sunday Mass sponsorships, catechesis, and confession.
Finally, on December 14, 2024, the Grade 3 students received Jesus in the Holy Communion for the first time in a Mass presided by our School Director, Rev. Fr. Emilio A. Ascaño, LRMS, PhD. The celebration was solemn, bringing together the Church, the school, and their families to help form the children into Christ-like individuals.
Receiving the Body of Christ for the first time is a milestone for every Catholic. It is an event where the faithful tangibly encounter Jesus—an unforgettable moment that fosters a lifelong friendship with Him. Through the various activities culminating in receiving Christ, we are reminded that it takes the whole Church to nurture and raise a Catholic child.
