Welcome to St. Peter the Apostle School!
Honorable guests, dear members of our school community, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and beloved students,
Today, we stand at the threshold of a historic and grace-filled moment. It is with deep gratitude and joy that we open the countdown to the 50th anniversary of St. Peter the Apostle School….a milestone that speaks of five decades of faith, excellence, and service. How providential it is that we embark on this journey during the 2025 Jubilee Year of Hope, a year proclaimed by the Church as a time of renewal, reconciliation, and profound trust in God’s providence. This convergence of our school’s golden jubilee and the Jubilee Year is no coincidence. I believe it is destined by God that this will happen. It is a marvelous sign that we are called not only to celebrate the past but to embrace the future with faith, hope and charity.
A Jubilee is a time of blessings poured out, a time of grace and new beginnings. As we reflect on the road that has brought us here, we acknowledge the challenges and setbacks, especially the trials we faced during the pandemic. We know too well the burdens that was experienced by many of us—losses, disruptions, and uncertainties. But today, we stand not in despair but in hope. We are reminded that God is with us and has never abandoned us. He has led us through the storms, strengthened our resolve, and renewed our commitment to our mission.
As we prepare to celebrate 50 years of St. Peter the Apostle School, we do so…not merely with words…but with concrete acts of love. This Jubilee is not just about looking back with gratitude but moving forward with purpose—renewing our commitment to Catholic education, strengthening our witness to the Gospel, and becoming true bearers of hope in a world that longs for healing and light. We renew our commitment to do better. To be bearers of hope.
Today, let this countdown be more than a ceremonial moment. Let it be a call to action—a challenge to each of us to live out the values that St. Peter School has instilled for half a century. As we journey toward our golden jubilee, let us become living testimonies of faith, hope, and love, so that what we celebrate in 2026 will not just be years counted but lives transformed…
Transformed by God’s grace.
Transformed by our cooperation to his grace.
Transformed by the love of God and our love for one another.
May St. Peter, our patron, intercede for us as we walk forward with unwavering trust in God’s plan. With hearts full of hope, let me officially open our countdown…let the countdown begin!
Thank you, and may God bless us all.
