Welcome to St. Peter the Apostle School!
St. Peter the Apostle School’s Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the Philippines successfully conducted a First Aid Training on Understanding Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, Triage, Bandaging, and Splinting last August 30, 2025. The activity aimed to equip scouts with knowledge and practical skills in disaster preparedness and emergency response.
During the training, scouts learned about the importance of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), including preparedness, mitigation, and response. Hands-on sessions were held on triage, where participants practiced prioritizing patients during emergencies, as well as bandaging and splinting, where they applied proper techniques to manage wounds, sprains, and fractures.
The program was facilitated by Scoutmaster Ernest, Scoutmaster Rumen, Scoutmaster Marita, and Scoutmaster Josephine, who provided lectures and demonstrations and supervised the scouts as they practiced applying first aid. Throughout the activity, scouts showed enthusiasm, cooperation, and leadership.
The training strived to enhance scouts’ confidence and readiness to act as first responders in their schools, homes, and communities, contributing to a safer and more disaster-resilient society.
