Welcome to St. Peter the Apostle School!
With a commitment to holistic student development, St. Peter the Apostle School (SPAS) recently held an engaging and insightful articulation program entitled “Guided by Purpose: Heart-Centered Paths to High School Success.” The event aimed to equip Grade 6 students and their parents/guardians with valuable information as they prepare for their high school journey.
The program began with a discussion on the Educational Service Contracting (ESC) Program, led by the School Principal. As an ESC-certified institution, SPAS offers government financial assistance through the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC). The principal elaborated on the program’s objectives, emphasizing its role in improving access to quality junior high school education and extending financial support to deserving elementary school graduates. Parents were given a comprehensive overview of the application process and its benefits, ensuring that students can transition smoothly into high school with financial aid opportunities.
Following this informative session, selected Grade 7 students shared their firsthand experiences of high school life at SPAS. Their stories provided insight into key aspects of student life, including academics, faith formation, career development, and social engagement. They spoke about the challenges of adapting to a more challenging curriculum, the excitement of discovering their passions through extracurricular activities, and the importance of friendships in their personal growth.
To further immerse attendees in the high school experience, high school teachers facilitated interactive discussions and demonstrations of innovative teaching methods. Through engaging activities, they showcased the school’s commitment to academic excellence, making learning both dynamic and student-centered.
By the end of the program, Grade 6 students and their parents/guardians gained a clearer vision of what lies ahead. As they approach this significant transition, they do so with a sense of purpose, faith, and confidence in a heart-centered approach to education.
