Welcome to St. Peter the Apostle School!
Peterians get their bodies and hearts nourished during the Nutrition Month Celebration last July 29–August 1, 2024. Peterians celebrated Nutrition Month through various activities facilitated by the Edukasyong Pantahanan at Pangkabuhayan (EPP) and Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) areas with the theme, “Nourishing both the Body and Heart through Education”. Students, together with their parents, prepared nutritious food that were shared to their chosen charity, Childhope Asia Philippines.
Some of the activities were the following:
Grades 1-3 brought nutritious food for a week and created drawings of their healthy plate patterns. Grades 4–6 made healthy sandwiches, Grade 7 students prepared Filipino breakfast, and Grade 8 cooked Chinese appetizers. On the other hand, Japanese sandwiches were nutritiously made by Grade 9 students. Similar to the Grade 7, Grade 10 students showcased their skills in cooking English breakfast. Part of the celebration is the community’s participation in the Zumba dance exercise choreographed by the Grade 11 and 12 students.
Through the various activities initiated by the EPP and TLE areas, Peterians were able to realize the importance of healthy eating habits and physical exercise in everyone’s well-being and practice the value of kindness by sharing their output to the less fortunate children. By emphasizing the importance of nutrition through a dedicated month, the celebration encourages lasting changes that can lead to healthier communities and develop healthy citizens of the country.
