Installation of New Parish Priest

“It is not joy that makes us grateful. It is gratitude that makes us joyful!”

These were the two great statements shared by our newly installed parish priest, Rev. Fr. Jomar J. Burgos, LRMS.

Last November 30, 2022 @ 10 in the morning, Manila Archbishop Jose F. Cardinal Advincula installed Rev. Fr. Jomar J. Burgos, LRMS as the new parish priest of St. Peter the Apostle Parish. During the rite of installation, he professed his faith, made his oath, and renewed his priestly promises. Cardinal Advincula entrusted him to the care of the parishioners. He said that he is a reminder of God’s love for his people. He encouraged the parishioners to love, take care of him, and teach him to be a good priest.

After the installation, a celebration was held at the gymnasium of St. Peter the Apostle School. Parishioners and guests were enjoined for a merrymaking and celebration. Sumptuous meal was served while different performances were done on stage. There were dances of joy, songs of love and inspiration and talks about mission, hope and charity. St. Peter the Apostle School welcomed Fr. Jomar with a Lion Dance that made the event more festive with the sounds of drums and the gaiety of the movements of the Lion Dancers.

Let us thank the Lord for gracing us with a new parish priest. Let us pray that he may joyfully continue serving the Lord and be a good shepherd to St. Peter the Apostle community.
