First Holy Communion of SPAS Grade 3 Pupils
The First Communion of baptized children is usually celebrated around the age of seven or eight, and it is preceded by their first confession. It is also a special time to instill in them the love for the Eucharist. During the Holy Mass, the priest consecrates bread and wine, the Eucharistic elements that are transubstantiated into Christ's Body and Blood.
December 10, 2022 was the most awaited day for our Grade 3 pupils. It was their First Holy Communion, the day when they will receive Jesus for the first time. The celebration was held at St. Peter the Apostle Parish and was presided by the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Jomar J. Burgos, LRMS. In his homily, Fr. Jomar emphasized to the children that they will receive Jesus in the Holy Communion. He also encouraged the children to attend and actively participate in the Mass every Sunday.
To our Gr. 3 pupils, may Jesus dwell and His love shine brightly in your heart now and forever!
