Christmas Pajama Party of SPAS Employees
It was a new experience for all the employees to have Christmas Pajama Party this year. What seemed to be some kind of informal for the teaching and non-teaching personnel as well as the school administrators to attend a Christmas Party in a pajama turned out to be truly exciting and fun. The employees, clad in varied designs and colors of their pajamas, headdresses and bedroom slippers, flocked merrily to the Hall of Hope, anticipating the joy the event would bring. The program consisted of group presentations that were all related to our observance of Christmas celebration such as depicting the nativity scene with the singing of a Christmas song as background music, Christmas caroling and dancing and the like. To add more to the involvement and enjoyment of all employees, several group games were facilitated, and group winners received their prizes. Also, the party became a venue for gift giving when the presidents and other officers of the Alumni and Parents Associations graced the occasion to give Christmas greetings and to distribute gifts to all employees. More to that, they awarded cash prizes to those best in pajama costumes. The event became even more a blessing when the employees received a generous amount of Christmas bonus distributed by the School Director and in which he personally gave them heartwarming Christmas wishes. A sumptuous early dinner was served where everyone got to be seated and enjoy the food with their colleagues. The last part of the program was the traditional exchange gift done not in the usual way of draw-a-name exchange gift but in a left-right-across exchange gift game. The program lasted for about 3 hours, but it was really worth the efforts of all who did a part in the celebration. With all the activities during the party and the happy attitude of all towards a festivity like the Christmas Pajama Party, the afternoon get-together was a memorable one.In a reflection, all these merrymakings will be in vain if we do not truly honor Christmas and its real meaning not only for this season but in each day of our lives! Let us then be inspired by this excerpt from a Christmas song as the very reason of Jesus ‘birth!
Truly He taught us to love one anotherHis law is love and His gospel is peaceChains shall He break for the slave is our brotherAnd in His name all oppression shall ceaseSweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,Let all within us praise His holy name
