SPAS MAPEH Week Celebration

February 14-18, 2022 marked the one-week MAPEH celebration of St. Peter the Apostle School. In accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 683 making February as National Arts Month according to the National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCAA), the celebration shifted the focus of the activities to the value of the arts during challenging times, including the ongoing COVID-19 global health crisis.

This year’s celebration is dubbed as Sining ng Pag-asa.

With this in mind, Peterians from the elementary department showcased their talents by rendering a dance exercise, different body movements, and printmaking using available materials that can be found in their homes.

Likewise, the high school students’ poster and slogan making highlighted the theme. The Quiz Bee Galing of Grade 10 and the ability of the senior high school students to officiate a virtual Game of the Generals added to the excitement of the students on that day.

Summing it up, all the activities prepared by MAPEH teachers helped the Peterians realized that amidst this pandemic, one can still enjoy and find meaning from simple things that they can do. Expressing their love for arts through different media can possibly bring hope to others and could encourage them to hone their skills for future endeavors.
