The Spirit of CHRISTmas in our Peterian Family

Last December 2021, students from grades 1 to 12 were assigned varied tasks which helped them understand the true essence of Advent and Christmas Seasons.

Grades 1 to 3 pupils were instructed to creatively show their Christmas symbols by coloring (Grade 1) and drawing (Grade 3) the Nativity Scene and the Advent Wreath (Grade 2). Meanwhile, Grades 4 to 6 pupils were tasked to create their own Advent Wreath, show how they celebrate Christmas or do acts of mercy with their families. From the reflections of the pupils, it is clear that they realized the importance of celebrating the season with their families more than focusing on the material gifts that they received.

The Junior and Senior High School classes, on the other hand, were split into groups for the task of creating modern digital depictions of the Nativity Scene. Most of their work centered on how Jesus Christ's birth should be celebrated, on the hope the occasion brings despite the pandemic and on the other pressing issues worldwide. Their reflections stated that holding onto HOPE especially at these times is so essential to overcoming life challenges. Let us all spread this hope to all most especially those in the peripheries of the society!
