Peterians Celebrate SPAS @ 48

Peterians Celebrate SPAS @ 48
On February 22-24, the whole Peterian community successfully celebrated the 48th founding anniversary of St. Peter the Apostle School with the theme “Moving Forward Together with Christ in Mission”. The three-day event started with the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided by Rev. Msgr. Noly A. Que, LRMS, the Father Moderator-Elect of the Lorenzo Ruiz Mission Society and the Vice Chairman of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Manila Educational System. He reminded the whole community to remember and live out the core values of our school and mentioned that our goal of reaching greater heights should be equipped with well-balanced curricular and extracurricular activities. He also made everyone realize the help each Peterian shares to our mission school, the Holy Family Parochial School, and challenged each of us to go the extra mile for our needy brethren. It was then followed by the much-awaited opening ceremony of the Peterlympics.
Wearing their jersey and their game face on, the players made their entrance at the gymnasium where they were cheerfully welcomed by their supportive teachers and batch mates. After the welcome remarks of our school principal, Mr. Louie Francis Uy, muses from Grades 4-12 paraded at the venue wearing their best athletic attire.  Peterians applauded their dance presentation. Then, selected Peterian athletes executed the lighting of the torch. A ceremonial toss was also held by the school administrators and Peterlympics committee to launch the start of the basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and chess events.
After the ceremony, the games started for the Grades 4 to 12 students which ran for two days. Grades 1-3 had their own Peterlympics where they played games, watched storytelling, and engaged in a drawing activity.

Families of the elementary department gathered at the gymnasium to do activities that aimed to strengthen the bond of Peterian families. The whole program was filled with fun as the students presented their cheerdance performances, played games, and had their salu-salo together.
All in all, the 48th founding anniversary of St. Peter the Apostle School was simple yet remarkable as everyone surely had memories to treasure.
